His functions there ranged from several years in the Police Directorate, three years<em> as member of the executive staff <\/em>at the Federal Ministry of the Inte\u00adrior, one year as Head of the Minister\u2019s Office at the Th\u00fcringen Ministry of the Interior, and five years as repre\u00adsentative of the Federal Ministry of the Interior at the Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in Brussels. In addition, he worked for seven years at the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (antiterrorism and counterintelligence).<\/p>\n<p>Since March 2014 he has been Commissioner of the Union of the Opferverb\u00e4nde kommunistischer Gewaltherr\u00adschaft (UOKG), and since August 2014 he has been President of the International Association of Former Political Prisoners and Victims of Communism (InterAsso).<\/p>\n<p>Christian Fuchs is an ancien of the NATO Defense College in Rome (spring 2010 course) and a board member of the Association of the Friends of the Federal Academy for Security Policy.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Fuchs studied law at the universities of Bonn, Erlangen-Nuremburg, W\u00fcrzburg, Speyer and London.
